These Entrepreneur Myths: Who believes them?

Do you long to own your own business? Do you feel the word “entrepreneur” makes your heart sing, but you aren’t ready to take the plunge due to certain fears?

These myths may be limiting your ability to become an entrepreneur. These myths could be stopping you taking the plunge.

  • It is all or nothing. There is no such thing. It doesn’t mean you have to start your business in a hurry with little to no support. Many entrepreneurs have been successful while running their business part-time and working full-time jobs. It’s more likely that this is how it works.
  • Only fools will start a business within this dangerous economy. There is no better time than the present if you have the right idea, the energy, the focus and the money to start a business. Many businesses survived the Great Depression, according to history. Similar things are happening today. What were some businesses that made profits during the great depression? Self-help books and cosmetics!
  • Entrepreneurs only invest in money. This is a bogus belief that I have seen from personal experience. Biz owners want to make a profit. It’s a big one. They won’t be able to stay in business if they don’t. But, if you meet a successful entrepreneur, you will likely discover that he/she is completely obsessed with helping other. They do this because they love what they do. They will be able to help others and turn the other way.
  • A unique idea is essential. The good news about being an online marketer/entrepreneur is many fabulous products have affiliate programs. You can also sell the products of other people and earn a commission.
  • The game is all about getting rich fast. This is probably the most common myth. Particularly with internet start-ups. It’s easy for people to get caught up in fish tales because there is so much hype. It’s often supported by lots of hard work and hard work, even if it seems like an overnight success.
  • It’s not for everyone. Baloney! This simply means that people want to live a safe life. They want the “sure thing.” Newsflash! Steady salaries are no longer “sure things.” They are probably trying to avoid something else. Failure. Entrepreneurs aren’t afraid to fail. It’s not something we enjoy. It’s not something we like. It doesn’t make us any less capable of doing the things we want to do. Failure fast and getting it over with is the common way to think in the entrepreneurial world.

Online entrepreneurship is a great way to make money. Start today to realize your dream. Take a leap of faith and get started. Start small and move on. You’ll be on your way soon enough if you keep going!

Your path to freedom is yours!
